Amanda Grohowski is a graduate student at Boston University, with more than four years of education and experience in broadcast journalism and communications. Amanda is pursuing her master’s degree in public relations in hopes of merging her two passions of media and the arts.
Previously, Amanda studied at the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in telecommunication and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in violin performance. In Gainesville, Florida, Amanda worked as an associate producer and photographer at WCJB TV20. She also worked as a multimedia journalist and anchor at WUFT News and its affiliate NPR station WUFT-FM 89.1. Amanda interned at the Hippodrome Theatre where she produced and managed social media content in the marketing department.
Amanda started playing the violin when she was 5 years old. During her undergraduate studies, she earned the Presser Scholarship as the most outstanding music student entering her senior year.
Amanda is passionate about health and wellness and received lifeguard licenses and CPR and AED certifications through The American Red Cross and Jeff Ellis & Associates, Inc. She is also a black belt instructor in American Kang Duk Won Tae Kwon Do.
